Visiting the U.S. to take part in a conference
Prof. Ing. Jarmila Vilčáková, Ph.D. and Ing. Marek Jurča attended the ACS Fall 2022 Conference in Chicago, USA. Jarmila Vilčáková presented the results of her work in the field of polymer memristors with a focus on mimicking synaptic excitations for the construction of neuromorphic networks.
Marek Jurča’s talk was about the electromagnetic properties of composite materials obtained by computer simulation and experimenting and their mutual comparison. They both also participated in the Interactive International Workshop on Advances in Materials, Photonics and Biotechnology to Impact Energy, Healthcare, and the Environment in Buffalo to make connections in the field of optoelectronics. They also paid a visit to Clemson University (CU) and the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies (COMSET), along with partner CU in Charleston, with whom CPS has collaborated for several years on, among other things, the development and characterisation of polymer memristors.
