Representatives of the partner Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) from the Vietnamese Ho Chi Minh City came for a two-day visit to the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. They met with the university's management and toured the faculties and research centers.
During their stay, the members of the delegation also visited the Centre of Polymer Systems. They met with the director prof. Vladimír Sedlařík, who showed them around the center and outlined the possibilities of cooperation in the field of doctoral study programs. "The cooperation with the university from Vietnam has been going on for many years, and we still see possibilities for expanding cooperation, for example in technical study programs," said the director of the center, prof. Vladimír Sedlarík. "I myself am a graduate of the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, I completed my doctorate here in 2009, and I remember my years in Zlín very fondly. I very much appreciate the interest of the University of Zlín in cooperation and our students, and we are doing everything to continue this good cooperation," reminded TDTU president dr. Tran Trong Dao. TUB has been cooperating with Ton Duc Thang University for a long time, since 2011. They also regularly organize international conferences together. Ton Duc Thang University was founded in 1997. During its existence, it has become one of the top four universities in the country. Currently, approximately 30,000 students are studying at it. TUB also established the Baťa Center in Vietnam, which focuses mainly on student recruitment.
