Research on polymeric memristors underway at CPS
Polymeric memristors are the subject of ongoing research performed by scientists at the Centre of Polymer Systems (CPS) in conjunction with colleagues from the U.S.A. as well as those from the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences (IMC). The group includes Prof. Jarmila Vilčáková cooperating with Prof. Stephen Foulger of Clemson University, U.S., who was granted a Fulbright scholarship for the 2021–2022 period.
Kateřina Kloubová, Member of the J. W. Fulbright Commission, visited the Centre on this occasion. Memristors are a new electronic device that performs memory and computing functions in the same device and are being heralded as a synaptic mimic by the artificial intelligence community.
